i was gaga and went on huh..he attend home economics as in cooking lesson or what? after much explaining than i knew oh that was a school name where they teaches Chinese haha.. anyway this was during the beginning of this year saga haha..
It was after much decision, that i finally realise the importance of Chinese to Jovan, cos he could not even understand the simple and basic of it..not even a word hor to be precise! However his english was definitely not an issue, as this was what the teacher feedback on his report card and parent's meeting :-
Jovan excels academically in class. He has a strong grasp of concepts of colours, words, shapes, recognition of letters, alphabets, numbers, animals and surprisingly even phonics! He enjoys listening to stories and is able to express himself very confidently in Engish! well i strongly believe the credits goes to my helper Mary!
People ask me when i told them my intention to enrol him to Berries, cos they told me that Chinese is very fast pick-up thru friends, story books and Tv etc.. i dun denied this true fact, BUT my concern is Chinese does not only consists of speaking, it consists of recognition and able to write out million words, understanding the meaning as well han yu pin yin, its complicated!!! Thus chinese as a second language is very important hence the need to start now is essential!
Thus his trial class is 5dec while the actual class will commence next year, once a week for a duration of 1h45mins (@_@)
